Aged Thank You

The last card I CASEd from Jenny Peterson  .  Again I used DSP instead of stamped Card Stock.  I used the brayer in Crumb Cake ink to "dirty" the DSP so it was not so bright.  I cut a slot under the Framelit and DSP layer to wrap the thread around.  The button is held on with a few glue dots.

Aged Candle

So SU Demos get a magazine a few times a year and in the magazine they feature a Demo.  I think this one was in the June/July issue.  I loved the colors and the designs. It took me a few months to get around to CASEing (Copy and Steal Everything) the cards.  I had to make a few changes to make it work with what I had.  It was CASEd from Jenny Peterson.

I think I sponged Crumb Cake around every edge of every thing on this card.

Aged Doily

Ohhh, these are the colors that I love!  I was going through the catalog looking for any items I may have missed.  I can go through it over and over and over again and still find something new that I just have to have.  Anyway....I saw we sold Crumb Cake envelopes!  So why did I not have them in my stash?!?!?!  So I placed my order and had to set to it to make a bunch of cards to go in those envelopes....now I am going to have to place another order to get more Crumb Cake Card Stock. ;-)

As you can tell by looking, I am not a really big Whisper White user.  I tend to grab the Very Vanilla more than anything.  I love the Tea Lace Doilies, but they are white.   So I have a spritzer bottle all set with Rubbing Alcohol and Crumb Cake Re-inker.  I just give a spritz ( the darker I want it the more spritz or more re-inker drops.

The larger of the butterflies does have a Early Espresso butterfly glued flat to the card stock.  The shading is partly from that and how the sun hit it.  I also ran a very thin strip of Early Espresso under the Thinking of You just to make it stand out a bit more.  I have seen many cards lately that have random pearls and rhinestones put in places.  I decide to give it a try and it was a great space filler where I wanted it to be.

Paper: Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Early Espresso, Epic Day This and That DSP, Calypso Coral

Wavy Butterflies

Ok, so this card got away from me.  It is much busier than I usually do but I like it enough to send it out (many cards do not make it that far Lol..I am my own hardest critic) so it will make it on here too. Lol  I already told you that now that school has started I do not have a lot of time during the day to stamp and my thought process was disturbed quite a few times during the making of this card.  I tried to wait until the high schooler went in town for band but then the other kids had a million questions...never fails.

I sponged across the raised back panel to give it more dimension and so the layers in front did not blend in too much,  I could use butterflies on every card but I have to force myself not to. Lol

Silver Moose

I had mentioned this tip a while back and someone asked me to give more detail.  I love the Framelits but sometimes the space between is just too much, so this will give you a smaller gap.

I used the Six Sided Sampler was used for the inside of the Build-a-Brad.  I rubbed a sponge of Smoky Slate over the embossed image to shadow it a bit more.

Finally About You

Since school has started once again my schedule is very limited.  I have not had a chance to stamp for about a week + now and it shows. ;-)  I got up this morning and told the kids that I wanted them to work on their own as much as possible so I could try to ,make a card.  I loved the sketch challenge today and really wanted to put it to use.  The kids did fairly well.  I had to answer questions every now and then but their education is my priority right now so I made it work.  The card took a bit longer than usual but I got it done.  I will have to start taking pictures of the insides and envelopes too.  I usually get them done later and forget to add them here, so stop again and look for that!  I had said when I started that I was not going to use the eclips on this card but as it progressed I really wanted a small flower there and the only way I was going to get one was if I did.  I used the Blossom Punch from MDS brought it into my program, re-sized it to where I wanted it and cut.

Ok, I messed up and grabbed the wrong ink for the top of the card....I told you I was busy, but really just wanted to get it done.  It adds a bit?
