Honey Bees

This was a fun card to do. I love this set but do not always have time to color the images. I punched the images with the 3/4" square punch and then cut the border 1" square. The flowers on the bottom are made with the scallop circle punch and the 3/4" circle punch. I added Crystal effects to the dripping honey on the pot. I reached back a few weeks and grabbed a Sketch Challenge it was just perfect for what I had in mind.

Stamps: Just Buzzin By
Paper: Chocolate Chip, More Mustard, Ruby Red
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Ruby Red
Accessories: 3/4" Square Punch, Circle Scallop Punch, 3/4" Circle Punch, Crystal Effects, Twill Tape

Top Note Scallop

Here is the first card I put in the stationary box. I cut two pieces of paper, the Chocolate Chip and the Old Olive Patterns paper at one time with the Top Note die. I trimmed the perforated edged off of the Old Olive to layer the half piece. I punched the scallop circle twice and half rotated the back one. The ribbon is two pieces. One is fastened to back of each side of the top note with glue dots and the other piece is just tied one the front around the other strip.

Stamps: Pocket Silhouettes
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Very Vanilla
Ink: Old Olive
Accessories: Spiral Circle Punch, Big Shot, Top Note Die, Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbon

In Color Dino

I wanted to use the In Colors Today. I always get them when they come out but do not want to run out so I do not use them as often. I told myself this year was going to be different....so I am going to use them up before they retire in July. I plan on using this card for a class. The technique will be masking. This is a perfect set for this technique. I sponged around the edge of the pacific point.
Stamps: Prehistoric Pals, Sanded Background
Paper: Pacific Point, Riding Hood Red, Whisper White
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Kiwi Kiss, Riding Hood Red
Accessories: Riding Hood Red 5/8" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon

Stationary Box

My friend is very consistent in making sure she holds a workshop every year for me during Sale-a-bration. I wanted to make her a very special gift. I have wanted to make one of these stationary boxes. It has a place for 6 cards, 4 note cards, 4 tags, a date book, postage stamps, and a pen. It folds up and stays closed with the matching lid. I held the date book in with a magnet. I tried to keep the set to the same set and colors throughout. I will be posting the pictures of the cards inside over the next few weeks. I printed the words on my computer.

Stamps: Pocket Silhouettes,
Paper: Old Olive, Old Olive Print Patterns, Chocolate Chip
Ink: Old Olive
Accessories: Scallop Circle Punch, Large Oval Punch, Circle Punch, Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon

Happy Thoughts

I decided to take some time (no band today, so I got to stay home!) and do a Sketch Challenge. I've been trying to use more of the designer paper and not be a hoarder. I am so stuck on these colors so my next challenge to myself will be to not use the Earth Elements. I am so loving the Texture plates and had to put the other group on my workshop order yesterday. They are so easy to use and add so much dimension to a card. The Image and sentiment I did with the markers. The sentiment is popped up on a glue dot.

Stamps: Lovely as a Tree, Think Happy Thoughts
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Old Olive Print Patterns, Whisper White
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Old Olive
Accessories: Ticket Corner Punch, Big Shot, Harlequin Texture Plate,

Yard Film Strip

This card is a full size card. It is made from a full size piece of cardstock folded in half. For those who do not know I make the Thank You cards for those who come and speak to our Home School group. We had a falconer come and showed the kids his Red Tail Hawk and told us how he hunts with her. They love to spend time in the woods so I thought this set would fit right in. I stamped the back with the Sanded Background and sponged around the edges. The images are colored with the markers directly on the stamps. I also sponged around the edges of the images.

Stamps: Lovely as a Tree, Think Happy Thoughts, Sanded Background
Paper: More Mustard, Basic Black, Whisper White, Always Artichoke
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Always Artichoke, More Mustard,
Accessories: Spiral Punch, Jumbo Eyelets, 1' & 1-1/4"Circle Punches
