Mother's Day

A little behind on getting things posted....This was the card I sent out this year for Mother's day.  I still had very little strength at this time so I not only took it with my cell phone but I did not wait for it to get the colors right so it does not line up right.  If I had been thinking I would have had it all done prior...duh!

Sweet Baby Bibs

I had a request for a baby card that was not too overly cutesy.  I had seen these cute bib cards and it was requested for a boy so I thought it would fit great.  The buttons where molded and dyed with reinkers to match perfectly. Lots of sponging here!

Calypso Floral

The Clay is s so great to work with.  When I first got my order in I was just home from the hospital and the surgery had taken all of my energy. I had these new toys just begging to be worked with.  So I had my 11 yr old daughter do what I wanted to do step by step.  She had great flowers and buttons the first try.    I think I could use Calypso every day!

Cantaloupe Honeycomb

2 of my other "Must Haves" out of the new catalog is the Six sided Sampler bundle with the matching punch and the Chevron Ribbon.  Budget allowed me to get just one color so I went with the Calypso Coral. HInt-Do not stare at it too long.  I kept thinking it was changing in width but every time I measured it it was always the same. lol  I punched the top and bottom hex and cut out the middle one because I wanted it just a little closer than the punch gave me.

Strawberry Flowers

Love, Love, Love this color!!!  I am very pleased with the ruffled ribbon.  It is not too big or thick and easy to use. I bought the clear mount Flower Shop set so here is what I did to make sure I stamp the flower to line up with the punch.  I stamped the flower on a piece of scratch paper and  then lined the punch up.  The punch has a gap at the top.  I took a sharpie marker and put a line on the bottom of the stamp where the gap is.  That way when I stamp the flower I just make sure that the gap with the line is on the top.

Mr. Moose

Well, Monday was my birthday.  The only thing that could have made it better is if my SU order would have come in. ;-)  So I did all of my chores on Monday so when my order came in on Tuesday I had nothing to stop me from stamping.  One of my "Must have" sets was the Walk in the Wild.  I think it will make great masculine cards.  I tried a new fold here and I really liked the way it turned out.  I am not usually one to use the hostess sets but Express Yourself  is so great I know I will use it a lot this next year.

Wild Pheasant

What a great simple sketch! I love this Walk in the Wild set and I know it will get plenty of use this next year. After I had the card finished my son said the top back ground was to bare.  So I punched some leaves and used the cut out as a stencil template to sponge some leaves. I colored the pheasant in with the ink pads and aqua painters.  The image and sentiment are popped up with dimensionals.
