White Christmas

Well, today I have to make some cards to fill some orders. So I thought I would post a card I made a few weeks ago. I was just playing around with a white base as I very rarely make them. I rolled Bold Snow Flakes Jumbo Wheel in Whisper White Craft ink and rolled it on the card base. It is hard to see in the but I think I was able to capture a glimpse in the close up. I colored the Take Three stamp with the makers. I colored the Merry Christmas also with the markers since the stamp itself has the words on top of each other instead of side-by-side like I wanted them. I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig to line them up.

Stamps: Take Three, Holidays and Wishes, Bold Snow Flake Jumbo Wheel
Paper: Whisper White, Real Red, Glorious Green
Ink: Whisper White Craft Ink, Real Red, Glorious Green, Brilliant Blue
Accessories: Ticket Corner Punch, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Brilliant Blue Brads, Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon

Thanksgiving

Every year our church puts together Thanksgiving baskets for the elderly (our Senior Saints) and the shut ins that we minister to. I volunteer to make cards from the church for the baskets. I've learned not to rely on my health and I hate procrastination so I wanted to get to them right away. I decided this year not to make the cards the same but to make a variety of them. I kept them simple this year, as last year I did not and made over 70 of them. SO here are my 3" x 3"cards for this year.

Happy Pumpkin

Today's Challenge on SCS was the Ways to use it challenge. It was to use masking in some way. There are numerous ways to mask images. This card was actually a cased (copy and steal everything) card of one of my own. I was tempted to add the sentiment but decided I had it all the way around the edge and that was enough. The popped up pumpkin is watercolored with re-inkers and the aquapen on Whisper White card stock. It is mounted with a pop up glue dot.

Stamps: Autumn harvest, Holidays and Wishes
Paper: Pumpkin Pie, Apricot Appeal, Whisper White
Ink: Black Stazon, Apricot Appeal, Pumpkin Pie, Certainly Celery
Accessories: Brayer, Earth Elements Eyelets, Crop-a-dile, Photo Corner Punch, Very Vanilla 5/8" Grosgrain, Pumpkin Pie 1/4" Grosgrain

Pumpkin Tent Card

Sorry, I'm behind! We started school yesterday and all 5 kids are in this year. So I have 2 kindergarteners, a 2nd grader, a 6th grader and an 11th grader. I hope to still post as often but forgive me if I get behind once in a while .

So I tried the color challenge on SCS today and I did not like my results. So I decided I would work on a design for my next weeks Stamp Night. It is so cold and windy today that I decided a fall card would be nice. This is a tent card. The card base is a 4.25" x 8.5" folded in half. The topper is positioned just high enough to reach the 5.5" to make it the size of a regular invitation sized card. I started by stamping the bottom center pumpkin and masking it and adding the side ones. The topper I started with the gourd, masked it, stamped the large pumpkin, masked that and the stamped the small pumpkin. I watercolored with re-inkers and an Aqua pen. I tied the ribbon on and decided it still needed more so I added the eyelets. (Have I said I love the Crop-a-dile!)
