Blue Bird

Once in a while I get a request for a sympathy card.  I have such a struggle with these because I do not want to make them dark and dreary.  I made this card about 3 months or so ago.  I know I saw the idea somewhere but like usual I cannot remember where.  I know I had to make some changes be cause not everyone has the same as everyone else.  To do the top half I stamped the birds (with the blue one colored in with a marker) then I covered it with a cut out piece of scratch paper.  I then stamped the background stamp over top to leave the rest open.  Lots of sponging here!

Paper: Early Espresso Core, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake
Ink: Early Espresso, Not Quite Navy

Marvin Martian Punch Art

My son has a friend who loves getting my punch art cards.  His first was my Yoda card.  I was running out of unique cards to give him so  I had to go looking.  I ran across a design by Ellen Kemper  by that was just what I was looking for.  My son and his friend were both very happy with the card.  This is a full sized card made from one whole sheet of card stock. The inside I made a bunch of Owl punch aliens to go along the bottom.

Baby Rattle

I wanted an elegant baby card.  I did a rattle card a  couple of years back for my niece when she was born and decided to go down the same path with this one.  I am trying to use up a lot of my retired paper.  I had nothing to match the color to go with the top of the rattle so I ended up stamping the pattern on it.  The rattle is popped up on dimensionals.

Casting Leaves

I have wanted to do this technique for quite some time.  It is so easy and produces a great card.  I cut all of my layers first and then removed the back layers.  I used a temp adhesive to hold together because I have a bad tendency to move things and I wanted it to stay lined up.  Then it is as simple as gluing all of the layers back in place.

Details:

Stamps:  French Foliage, Blessings from Heaven
Paper: Early Espresso, Whisper White
Ink: Cajun Craze, More Mustard, Bravo Burgandy, Garden Green
Accessories: None-Can you believe that? Lol
