Anniversary Season

This was a hurry up and get in the mail card.  When I did this card my husband had been out of the country on business for a couple of weeks and his parent's anniversary had totally slipped my mind.  So I had a few minutes to put together a card and get it in the mail.  Both of my in-laws love working in the garden and plant special flowers just to draw in more butterflies so I knew I wanted to use this set and to add a few butterflies to it.  It went together very quick.  The only time consuming thing was to cut the flowers out.  I cut the 2 larger circles with the Circle Scissor Plus.  The large scallop is a die.

Winter Window

This card was lost in the shuffle of the holidays.  I was going through my card picture file and found this card I had made for my Dad for his birthday.  The tree and the bird were stamped on a Whisper White card stock,  I stamped the snowflakes on a window sheet.  Boy did I have fun cutting the trim for my window.  I wanted to make sure everything lined up perfect.  If I remember right it only took me two times to get it right.

Punch Love

I love, love, love punches!  I made this card on Wednesday and toyed with whether or not I was going to post it.  As much as I love this bird punch it is on back order until March.  I guess it was a bigger hit than what the supplier thought and they just did not get Stampin' Up! what they ordered (from what I heard).  I have had the Hi Embosslit since the catalog came out and just have not found the card I wanted to use it on but I thought it fit this layout great.

The bird is double punched and offset.  I also sponged around the edges to give it a bit more dimension.  I cut the HI twice and then punched out the center with the 1" circle punch and layered the wide oval punch behind it.  Used torn paper edge to do the clouds in the bashful blue along the top.

This is one of the other cards I made for the dinner with my friends.  I have had this set for a bit now and have wanted to use it but the card always changed and the stamp no longer fit.  So today I was determined to use this set and make it work.  I actually used a sketch challenge when I made the card.  I made the card and was out the door so I never had a chance to post it.So now that I have found the picture I snapped quick I thought I would share it.

Pop up Gift Card

Sorry that I missed MDS Monday this week.  My son surprised me and got to come home from college when he was not going to make it.  So I spent some quality time with him.  Today I HAD to make a card for a gift card that I have to deliver yet today.

Here is the card closed.

This is going to the gentleman who gives my son his special trombone lessons.  He is an ice cream addict so we got him a gift card so he can stock up.  I have wanted to make one of these cones for so long so this card gave me the chance.

This was soooo fun to make.  I dusted a Whisper White Craft sponge across the raised Thanks.  I sponged around the outside of the Very Vanilla with the Bashful Blue.  The ice cream and punched snow flakes where sprayed with Champagne Mist.

Accessories:Scallop Circle Punch, Round Tab Punch, 3/4", 1" & 1-1/4" Circle Punches, Thanks Embosslit Die, Big Shot, Movers & Shapers, Scallop Trim Border Punch, Wide Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon, Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder
