Top Hive

I actually did this card for a sketch challenge awhile back but never posted it and forgot what sketch it was for. Cutting that bee out was more work than anything else on the whole card. The section that the hive is on is a sliver from the Top Note Die. I did do some sponging around certain edges.

Well, I have a workshop in a few weeks so I have been working on cards. I try to keep them simple while I am showing so I do not take much time. That gives them more time to play. I lined the scallop circle punch up on the end to make the design after the celebrate.

So this one I needed for a friend's birthday and I decided to take the last one and dress it up a bit. I layered the Top Note and added the Jumbo Eyelet and Rhinestone brad.

Train for Dylan

We have a birthday party this weekend. The little boy loves trains. I thought this set would be a hit with him. I embossed the train with Whisper White embossing powder on Basic Black paper. The orange I ran through the Big Shot to add the dots. I even went out and used the Bold Brights. I hardly use that color family, but I wanted this card to be bright and colorful.

I got this concept from a card I saw in Paper Crafts magazine. It was a card made by Eleonor McGarry. Hey, I did not use the big shot for anything on this card. That is a challenge in itself for me. I cut the squares 1" x 1".

Baja Blues

Well, I made this card a few days ago but got so busy I forgot to upload it. I was going to drop it in the mail and almost realized it too late. Of course I had to use the Texturz plates! This card was so simple to do. I think I may use this for a make n take in a few weeks...

Thanks So Much

It seems like my time frame to stamp right now is once a week. I guess that is better than never. My Big Shot texture plates came in today and I made sure my chores were done this morning so I could play this afternoon. They are even better than I had thought they would be and soooo easy to use. I love the look of dry embossing but hate the work, this is the answer to that. I get the look with just a few cranks of the handle. I needed to make some Thank You cards, so I just had to use these plates. To do the leaf and the tree I first stamped the stamp in the Mellow Moss pad and then used the markers to accent.

Stamps: Lovely as as Tree, Think Happy Thoughts
Paper: Apricot Appeal, Very Vanilla, Mellow Moss, Always Artichoke, Chocolate Chip
Ink: Basic Brown, Mellow Moss, Always Artichoke
Accessories: Ticket Corner Punch, 1 1/4" Circle Punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, Backgrounds 1 Texturz Plate-Harlequin, Chocolate Chip 1" Double Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon
