Aviary Thank you

So I figured that I would try to get a card made before my surgery. I got one done and some parts for another couple started that I hope to get together and finished yet this week.  I love this set in the catalog but it has so many options that I want to do that I just could not figure out where to start.  So I kept it pretty simple.  I stamped the cage leg and used dimensionals to pop up the cut out cage.  I love, love, love the new decorative label punch from the mini and I know I will get my money's worth out of it.  I am going to need quite a few thank you cards in the next month.  I sponged across the card from with a bit Early Espresso Ink.

Card Details:
Stamps: Aviary, Because I Care (Hostess level 1)
Paper: Marina Mist, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla
Ink: Early Espresso, Marina Mist
Accessories:  Decorative Label Punch, Early Espresso Ribbon, Big Shot, Finial Press Impression Folder, Scallop Trim Border Punch, 1/8"  Early Espresso Taffeta Ribbon

Razzleberry Roses

Off this morning to do the Sketch Challenge...I knew right away right set I wanted to use.  I needed to make an anniversary card so I wanted it warm and romantic.I also knew that I wanted to use the impression folder that matched the set but I did not want to cover it up with the top 2 layers.  I then decided to use a transparency sheet as one of my layers.  I stamped the rose in White Stazon and sponged some around the layer of transparency and card front.  The focus rose was stamped in Versamark ink and embossed with Whisper White Embossing powder.  I then just painted over the whole thing with re-inker and an Aqua Pen.  I went back and filled in some of the areas with a deeper amount of re-inker. I added a flying butterfly in the upper corner to add just a bit more dimension and color.  To add the transparency on without being able to see the adhesive I stuck the focus rose where I wanted it on the transparency and they added the adhesive to the back of the transparency only where the focus rose would cover.  I guess I am still in my monochromatic mode...

Card Details:

Stamps: Fifth Avenue Floral, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White, Old Olive, Regal Rose, Transparency Sheet
Ink: Versamark, White Stazon
Accessories: Scallop Trim Border Punch, Two-Step Bird Punch, Word Window Punch, Beautiful Wings Embosslit

Punch Love

I love, love, love punches!  I made this card on Wednesday and toyed with whether or not I was going to post it.  As much as I love this bird punch it is on back order until March.  I guess it was a bigger hit than what the supplier thought and they just did not get Stampin' Up! what they ordered (from what I heard).  I have had the Hi Embosslit since the catalog came out and just have not found the card I wanted to use it on but I thought it fit this layout great.

The bird is double punched and offset.  I also sponged around the edges to give it a bit more dimension.  I cut the HI twice and then punched out the center with the 1" circle punch and layered the wide oval punch behind it.  Used torn paper edge to do the clouds in the bashful blue along the top.

Card Details:
Stamps: Season of Friendship
Paper: Chocolate Chip,Old Olive, Bashful Blue, Whisper White
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Bashful Blue-Sponged
Accessories:Punches: Scallop Trim Border, 1" Circle, Wide Oval, Medium Jewelry Tag, Extra Large Two Step Bird, Perfect Polka Dots Impression Folder, Big Shot, Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbon, Hi Embosslit Die

Pop up Gift Card

Sorry that I missed MDS Monday this week.  My son surprised me and got to come home from college when he was not going to make it.  So I spent some quality time with him.  Today I HAD to make a card for a gift card that I have to deliver yet today.

Here is the card closed.

This is going to the gentleman who gives my son his special trombone lessons.  He is an ice cream addict so we got him a gift card so he can stock up.  I have wanted to make one of these cones for so long so this card gave me the chance.

This was soooo fun to make.  I dusted a Whisper White Craft sponge across the raised Thanks.  I sponged around the outside of the Very Vanilla with the Bashful Blue.  The ice cream and punched snow flakes where sprayed with Champagne Mist.

Card Details:
Stamps: Season Of Friendship
Paper: Cameo Coral, Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue, Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla
Ink: Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue

Embossed Butterfly

I had some problems finding good light today to take this picture.  I could not get the colors right, I wanted to show the shimmer spray on the butterfly, plus I wanted you to be able to see the embossed on the butterfly...Oh well, I hope you can imagine how this card looks in real life.  It is so pretty I just may never give this one away :). Not much energy today but the surgery went well and the pain is getting better.  Off to take another nap.  Happy Stamping!

Birthday Roses

e
Well, we received just over a foot of snow today so I did not have to run my kids anywhere and had the opportunity to sit down and do the Sketch Challenge. Of course I had to do a bright and cheery card since it is dark and gloomy outside. Plus I got the chance to use some of my new items coming up in the mini that will be out in January ;). I had to buy these 2 dies just so I could put the roses in the basket. Well I hope where ever you are that you stay dry and warm!
