Christmas Card

Here the month of January is almost done. I just now realized that I never showed you the Christmas card I made for last year. I took the idea from the catalog. I really wanted to use a color scheme that was not traditional colors. Let's see if I can remember...I cut the cards stock 12" x 5.5". I scored every 4". I wheeled the background before I scored. In order to make the ribbon I found a loose thread and pulled until gathered. My finger still hurts from my thumb nail digging in ;). The images are layered differently. Over all it was a very simple card to do. My Stamp-a-ma-jig was very handy in the making of this card. Before I did any rolling, scoring or stamping. I ran the cut card stock through the printer with the color set to match the SU Chocolate Chip and printed the signature part.

Artichoke Christmas

I will be at the hospital must of the day. So I decided to pre-post a card that I had done a while back. I like to make easy Christmas cards to give to others who may not have any to send out. This one I thought would be an easy one to do. I do not believe in having halos so I cut them off of the stamp set. I shadowed the words by stamping in 2 colors and using the Stamp-a-ma-jig to offset one. Wisemen Sketch

Well, it is getting cold but not enough to think about Christmas...I saw the Sketch challenge this morning and thought this set was just perfect to fit it. I did lots and lots of sponging around almost every side. I have seen the ribbon done this way before and have never gotten around to trying it. It was soo easy. You just find a center thread and keep pulling until you get the gathering you want. Wednesdays are my busiest day of the week, but I just had to take time to do the challenge and share it with you!
