Thanks from the Heart

I loved the layout the was used on a card that I saw on line.  There was no watermark on the card so I  do not know whom to give credit to. To get the sentiment to fit into the frame the way I wanted to I had to color it with the Early Espresso marker and leave off a bit on the bottom of the Y.   Another super easy fast card!

Mr. & Mrs.

When I saw the Towels for Two set. I thought it had great potential and it went straight on my order.  I usually like to get the sets only and have been staying away form the single stamps, but lately they have come out with some very fun ones that just jump in my cart to purchase.  If you cannot tell I am in love with the Occasions Alphabet and have already got my money's worth out of it.

Lean on Me

I love trying to figure out layouts that will go with this set.   This was a fun one to do.  In order to get the Garden green circle behind the image and not be too big to cove the holes of the die I had to punch out 2 circles and cu them in half.  I then layered them until they looked the way I wanted them to.

Stamps: Lean on Me
Paper: Early Espresso Core, Garden Green, Whisper White, Garden Green Color DSP
Ink: Early Espresso, Bashful Blue, Garden Green, Wild Wasabi, Pumpkin Pie, Blush Blossom Marker, More Mustard, Versa Mark

New Grandson

I am very excited to say that we got a new grandson.  Kyle Nathan was 10# 4 oz, 21" long and was born on December 6th.  I try to make the frames so they will not be babyish but will grow with them.  Since his father is a big water fowl hunter I thought it fit to have a bird on there.

My Thoughts

I love this set but I am not always in the mood to color images in.  I was in the mood one weekend so I tried to use this set as much as I could.  I have lots of requests for Secret Sister cards for church and this set fits that  occasion very well.  I was also going through my stuff trying to use up things that may be going out or that I have not used in quite a while.  I do not think I I have ever used the Oval Accent Clear Die, I do not know why....I know I will now!  It fits the Holiday Frame folder wonderfully.  The image is embossed and then colored in.  It helps me to stay in the lines Lol

Details:
Stamps: Lean On Me
Paper: Whisper White, Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade
Ink: Versa Mark, More Mustard (plane), Chocolate Chip (hair)
Accessories: Big Shot, Holiday Frame Impression Folder, Oval Accent Clear Die, Labels Collection Framelit, Leaf-Bird Builder Punch, 3/8" Designer Printed Brad, 7/8" Scallop Circle Punch, Black Embossing Powder

This main part of this card was cased but when I went back to see who the originator was I could not find it.  I keep card ideas in various places and it was not in any of them.  If you know what card this idea came from please let me know so that I can give proper credit.

Spec-taclular

My 10yr old Daughter LOVES glasses.  She has lots of sunglasses and fake clear lens glasses.  The wilder and brighter the better for her. I suppose being the only girl with 5 older brothers brings this out more in her. So when I saw this set I just has to have it, if even just to make cards for her.  When I made this card yesterday she asked if it was her birthday card (which isn't until May) Lol.  I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the stamp to fill the whole card front.  I then used the Versa marker to color in one pair of glasses.  I heat embossed with Heat n Stick and Dazzling Diamonds.  I used the marker to get just the words that I wanted for the sentiment.

Stamps: Spec-Tacular, One in a Million
Paper: Silver Glimmer, Whisper White, Early Espresso, Primrose Petals, Rasberry Ripple
Ink: Rasberry Ripple, Early Espresso, Versa marker

SAB Feeling Sentimental

I am trying to build my card supply base and so I am making time to make more cards.  It is so relaxing to me!  I, as most people, struggle with making masculine cards. When I saw this set come out I though what a great easy to use manly set!  And it is FREE with any $50 purchase.  The Occasions Alphabet has been on my "Want List" since it came out.  It was always more than I wanted to spend.  Now that I have it, I know I will use it quite a bit! I have not done a torn edge in a very long time but this card seemed to call for it. lol

Paper: Very Vanilla, Soft Suede
Ink: Soft Suede

Tow Truck

Today my #2 son turns 22.  He is a mechanic/tow truck driver.  With all of the crazy snow and ice we have had here in WI the last month or so he has been very busy and has kept this mother on her knees praying for his safety as he is out of the bad roads pulling people out of ditches etc.  I thought a tow truck card was a perfect fit.  This is an odd sized card so I had to make an envelope for it.  To do the chain I used the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch , cut it in half and over-lapped it.
Details:
Stamps: Patterned Party, Itty Bitty Banners
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Grey, Riding Hood Red, Basic Black
Ink: Riding Hood Red, Basic Grey
Accessories: Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch, Big Shot, Cloudy Day Impression Folder, Bitty Banners, 1" Circle Punch, 1/2" Circle Punch, 1-1/4" Circle Punch
