Buttons and Rub Ons...

Today was the Sketch Challenge on SCS. I really struggled with the up and down layer of this sketch. I have so many new scraps of ribbon I cut for this. They just did not look right. I wanted something that would not take away from the rest of the idea. Then I remembered I had saw on someone else's blog that they had used the rub ons on the clear buttons. I thought this would be perfect for what I had in mind. It would fulfill the sketch and yet not take away or make the card too busy.
Stamps: Stitched Background
Paper: Pale Plum, Elegant Eggplant, Garden Green, Whisper White
Ink: Whisper White Craft, Basic Gray, Pale Plum, Elegant Eggplant, Garden Green
Accessories: Clear Buttons, Eastern Elegance rub-ons

  1. What a great idea to use the rub-ons on buttons. It adds so beautifully to your wonderful card.

  2. I love the idea of adding rubons to buttons! Very cool!!! Maybe when my rubons get here I'll get a change (and remember) to try this!

  3. Great interpretation of the sketch. Don't you just love the clear buttons and rub-ons.

  4. SO CUTE! LOVE the rub-ons on the buttons!

  5. Love what you did with the buttons and rubons. Also love how you only colored part or the other layer of the wheel. Looks great!

  6. that is a great idea about putting the rub on on the button...gotta put that on the to do list!! LOL
(PS thanks for all your help with my blog - you're the best!!)

  7. This card is so beautiful! I never would have thought to use the clear buttons this way!
