Up Dated Work Space
Back again! I had some computer issues so I have not been able to do much of any thing. How come it seems like just a few years ago computers were basic and a frugal item and now I don't know how we would live with out them...of course I am a bit of a tech geek.
Since my laptop is back up and running I decided my web site needed a bunch of updates. (Keep watching for more, it will take me a while to get it all in place.) I took a look at the About me page (boy do I wish I was still as young as I was in that picture, it was not fun finding something more up to date. I also noticed the pictures I had up of my work space looked nothing like what I have dome now. I painted my room red probably about 5 plus years ago and in the pictures it was still purple. I decided that was were I was going to start. I have so many more new fun toys also! Lol
So if you would like to stop by my site and see where I work and how I store my things....Welcome!

Family Tree
On a non stamp related subject. I have not had much time to stamp lately but I am really going to try to get to it today. September is a very busy birthday month in our family and I am a bit behind already. School has started and our schedule this year is a bit over whelming. I wanted to share with you something I made earlier in the summer. I have this section of wall in my entry way that is right next to the door. The ceiling in there is vaulted to cover both floors so I had to have something on the wall. I used to have a set of 3 pictures hanging there but if the door was shut too hard (remember I have 6 kids, 5 of which are boys) the pictures would fall, hit the stairs and break. So I decided to make a vinyl wall art that would fill in the area. My kids are growing up and branching out (lol). 2 are now married and we just delivered the 3rd to his 1st year of college. So I cut this tree out and placed the kids, wives & grand kids' names within the branches. I love the way it turned out!

Back at it!
Yes, I am still alive! I have been so busy this summer I am actually looking forward to school beginning so I can get back into a regular schedule. I have been home maybe 2 weeks this summer so my stamps have been neglected. When I did get home last week I had to prepare for a vinyl class I am teaching at our church next month (thought it might be nice to at least have an idea of what I am doing). So I was determined to get my hand s a bit inky today. This is one of my new favorite stamps sets.

Baby Duckies
I never have enough baby cards so usually when I make one I try to make a girl and boy version. I have not been drawn to a baby set like this one in many years. Since they offered the set and the framelits it was hard to pass up.
They are available separately or at a bundle price. Such an easy way to get great simple baby cards. I used the Work of Art chevron to make my background. I did have to use my Stamp-a-ma-jig to get things lined up. I used the Retired set One in a Million for the word Baby. That will be a set I am going to have problems letting go (along with a few other word sets)
If you noticed there is also a piercing template that goes with this set. Which adds just that perfect extra touch.
Another of my favorite products is the Thick Baker's Twine. I am drawn to making cards in the colors I have. Lol

Birthday Ticket
My summer has been crazy busy and it does not want to slow down. I am sorry for my scattered post. I have made time to work on cards and fill orders but sooo many have gone out the door without a picture taken or a duplicate made. :-( This is a combo of 2 of my new favorite sets. I am always in need of a masculine set and the Traveler set fills that very well. The Work of Art set is a great way to add color to an image without having to color it in. I missed my spiral punch very much. One of my favorite things to make with it is the film strips. It was the first thing I had to do with this set.

Most Valuable Coach
Sorry, not much time for blogging right now. #3 son just graduated from High School and we are getting ready for his open house, plus we just ended soccer season which takes up a lot of time so I have been running the kids every where. I have made some time to stamp a few days a week and I hope to get some time to get pictures and get them up one of these next days. The kids are having a pizza parties with their soccer teams today. My 14yr old DS and 12 yr old DD have a husband wife couching team. The kids really appreciate all they teach them. So this morning I whipped up a Most Valuable Coach card for the kids to give them thanking them for all the time they put into the season. The banner is popped up with Dimensionals.

Prayer Flowers
I make quite a few of these. They are great for Secret Sister cards etc. Once again I am trying hard to use quite a bit of designer paper before it retires at the end of the month. It is great to line the envelope with paper that matches the card. It gives just that extra touch.

Horse Shoe
This is not one of the stamps that was on my "Must have" list. Then we got our curriculum for Summer Bible school and I found out it was a western theme, so I went shopping....Now that I have been playing with it for a while I think it should have been on my list since the beginning. It is great for any guy card and western lover too. The images are embossed with Early Espresso Embossing powder. I rough the edges up just s slight bit.

Mom's Day Flowers
Strawberry Slush seemed like just a perfect color to make a Mother's Day card out of (plus I wanted to use the ruffled ribbon and that was the color I had). I cut the letters out with my Sizzix Eclips. I wish I had layered them bu they are nice subtle too. I colored the stamps with markers and huffed on them before stamping.
