Prayer
Well, life has changed big time here. After 23 yrs of being a stay at home mom I was offered a part time job that I just could not pass up. I am still able to homeschool the 2 teens I have left at home and have them with me so it is a win, win situation. It does take time from my crafting but I get up earlier and try to get some projects done.
Rather than a days work to get this type of project done it takes me 3...but I get it done!
This is all wood and paint and comes with a wall hanger on the back but can also be displayed on a stand (as I have here). I think one of these will be hanging in my new office very soon.
I will be starting on Christmas cards soon. I have my design all lined up and my cardstock should be in next week.

Catalog Cased Card
What.....I made a card?!?!?!? and posted it?!?!?!?
Life has been crazy around here and I was in dire need of some card therapy. I will hopefully get some time soon (or ask my children to help) get some more pictures so I can post the pile I made last week. This card was greatly inspired by the card on the bottom of the page 129 in the new catalog. The colors just jumped out at me and said "USE ME!!" This is one of my new favorite background stamps, so easy and fun. The hostess sets are my favorite in all years I can remember. I think I have them all already....and have used them all. I have already gone through 2 packs of the heavy Whisper white cardstock and have a bunch on an order I am working on.

Mother's Day
So my Mother's Day cards went out a bit late this year. I had to take a quick trip from Wisconsin to Florida to pick up my son from college and to get a small vacation while I was there. I forgot a few anniversaries and Mother's day so I had to have a make up day when I got home. This is one of the new Embossing folders. I like that it is a 6" x 6" size so it will work for cards either way. I slanted it a bit.

Love Tree
Well, I have a son who has been pretty sick (Meningitis) Since my room is the most comfortable he has been resting in there. So I had the opportunity to work on some cards while tending to him. I have received my new supplies (with more coming in next week...) and loved working with them.This set is going to be one of my favorites. It is on the back inside cover on page 189 and is the Ronald McDonald House Set. It has a matching punch too (Tree BUilder Punch) Page 167. Love, Love, Love the Cucumber Crush Color!!!!

Window Vinyl
I was able to get some beautiful old farmhouse windows. They are so fun to decorate! This one went to a wonderful family who added a new little loved one recently. I added some burlap and dried eucalyptus to the corner. I loved the smell so much I have the rest of the bouquet in a vase on my nightstand.

There are so many decorative knobs out there I probably took more time deciding on which ones than putting together the whole design. The pictures are changeable from the back and the vinyl is outdoor, washable. I do have a few windows available so if you are looking for a gift or decoration for your own home, just ask!

Names
My son (turning 14 in about 2 weeks) loves to see his name. His middle name is combined from 2 of his birth grandparents who where a great influence on his parent's lives. I am a middle name lover. My kids I named all have middle names that have stories or are from loved ones. I do not think anyone who really spends any time with my family does not know my kid's middle names. Birthdates and stats can be added but I think it is fun to have something they will want to hang in their rooms for years.

God Makes No Mistakes
For those who do not know. I have a son who is considered "special needs" He deals sometimes with depression when he cannot do the same things as his siblings or when he makes big plans that he cannot complete. I tell him almost every day that God makes no mistakes and He has a plan and that His plan is perfect from the beginning. We are commanded to be content with what we have :Hebrews 13:5 "Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." So no matter what struggles my son has, I pray that he knows that God made him perfect just the way he is and that he just needs to seek God's path. Yes, it is that simple!
