3D Ladybug

I really struggle with Kids cards and I am actually going to challenge myself to make more kiddy cards.  This one was made for my niece who turned 2 .  I figured a 3D lady bug would suit her just fine.  I added the ribbon around the edge and it reminded me of a toddler's blanket.

Flipped Mosiac

I could do flowers and butterflies on every card.  Living in WI, especially today while I am setting up this post and it is -12° below (-30° with wind chill) I look forward to spring.  These flip cards are soo fun and easy with the dies.  I go through quite a few Thinking of you/ Thank you/ Praying for you cards.  They make great secret sister gifts too.

Bermuda Floral Doilies

I made a stack of Thank you cards for all of our Bible School workers last month.  Since I did not know the head count yet and I drove 5 hours for this VBS I did not put them all the way together until the night before the closing program.  That way if I had made too many I did not have a stack of VBS themed Thank you cards that I would never use again.  I only  had 3 extras and decided to fill in the blank part with the doilies, flowers and of course butterflies.  At first I was not drawn to the doilies but I had $3 of hostess dollars left on an order and decided to give them a try.  I think they will have to have a permanent spot in my work area!

Dream

I got out my DSP and decided to start there with the design for this card.  This paper just jumped right out and said "Use me!" I thought it was so elegant and so I tried to  keep the rest of the card the same.  I loved how the Loving Thoughts went so well with the Four Frames.

Here 4 U

I ran across this paper the other day while making another card and I loved the design and found out how much I liked Baked Brown Sugar with Summer Starfruit. I knew I wanted to use the Pansy as the pop up element in this sketch which forced me to make the sentiment as the cluster.  I am so glad that I did!  I did not follow the sketch exactly as I wanted a landscape card, so I made it work.  I have learned that when I want to use the clay for a flower center I do not want it thick, so I just fill the mold just deep enough to get the design.

Paper: Baked Brown Sugar, Summer Starfruit, Birthday Basics DSP, Very Vanilla, Pistachio Pudding
Ink: Summer Starfruit, Baked Brown Sugar

Strawberry Flowers

Love, Love, Love this color!!!  I am very pleased with the ruffled ribbon.  It is not too big or thick and easy to use. I bought the clear mount Flower Shop set so here is what I did to make sure I stamp the flower to line up with the punch.  I stamped the flower on a piece of scratch paper and  then lined the punch up.  The punch has a gap at the top.  I took a sharpie marker and put a line on the bottom of the stamp where the gap is.  That way when I stamp the flower I just make sure that the gap with the line is on the top.

Paper: Very Vanilla, Basic Gray, Strawberry Slush, Modern Medley DSP
Ink: Strawberry Slush
