Mom's Day Flowers

 Strawberry Slush seemed like just a perfect color to make a Mother's Day card out of (plus I wanted to use the ruffled ribbon and that was the color I had).  I cut the letters out with my Sizzix Eclips. I wish I had layered them bu they are nice subtle too. I colored the stamps with markers and huffed on them before stamping.

Minion Birthday

I just had to do another Minion card.  They are so popular with the kids and I struggle with Kid's cards.  This was done with my Sizzix Eclips.

Bright Blossom

I set out to use a few items that I have not touched for a while.  I never thought to layer the Doilies behind the Frame nor did I think to "cut it out using the Ovals Framelits.  No, they are not a perfect fit but much nicer than having to hand cut them out when your hands are not always very steady.  My daughter loves all of the bling I added. Lol

On a personal note:  Many of you know I have been dealing with some medical issues for the last 5 years.  I have seen sooo many doctors and had given up hope to ever find out why I was loosing the use of my left side.  The last few days my husband and I have spent at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.  What we have learned from my new neurologist is that for some unknown, odd reason 5 years ago the right side of my brain mis-fired so the messages from my brain to my left side where being side tracked which was not giving me control on how my body was acting and feeling.  I have started therapy and training to see if we can get the derailed train I call a brain back on the right track.  She is hoping that by Christmas I should be able to walk without the cane and that my left hand will obey.  I have gotten pretty good over the last 1-1/2 years at working without them (as they had gotten worse over time) but now that I know there is hope and possibility for them to work again they will get a work out.  Please keep this in your prayers as she said it will be physically and mentally exhausting, but I am going to give it all that I have!

This was inspired by the image on page 188 of the catalog.  I thought it was fun a colorful  I go through a lot of thank you cards in my stash and this one was a fun one to add.

Floral For You

I was looking to make a quick and easy card today and this one fell right into place.  I love how this set is separated so I do not have to color each element independently.

To do the center flower I stamped it in the ink pad and off once on paper.  Then I used the marker to color in a few of the circles to make them more bold.

My daughter loves to look at the catalog too.  The one thing that went straight to the top of her "Wish" list is the new In Color Dahlias.  She kept double checking to make sure that they were on my first order and asking when they were going to come in.  When my order did come in and I had time to make a card, she insisted that the first card I made had the new Dahlias on it.

 If you have visited before you know that I love the punches and had to have the postage Stamp punch, but have not used it very often.  I think that it fits perfect with the Bright Blossoms set.  They are a great fit for the Postage Stamps layered with the 1" Square punch.
