Hodge Podge Calypso

I see so many cards that use numerous designer paper our of the same package.  They always look so cool.  Do you think this is too busy?  I love this paper set and I know I will not only use the whole pack but have to order more before the catalog retires next spring.  Which is not something I usually do.

Thank you Flower

Not much to say about this one.  I go through a lot of Thank you cards.  I tried lining them up but without using the Stamp-a-ma-jig I am just not steady or straight enough to do it (and I was too lazy to get it out Lol) So I decided a random would work just fine.  I decided to do the clay rose center but I did not fill the mold but maybe half way so it was thinner.

Dress Up Notebook

I always carry a tablet in my purse.  I found a nice medium size one at the dollar tree the other day but it was just too bland for me to use. Lol   I dressed it up a bit and it fits perfect in my purse....I may have to pick up a few more.  They were so fun to decorate!! My 11 yr old DD who has always been content with a plain tablet had to decorate hers too. ;-)

Latini Frame

Another Name Frame found a home to a new couple.  Since the invitation was pink I decided to use pink as one of the colors.  In this case Strawberry Slush. The Flowers were sprayed with water and crumbled up and then opened up to dry.  I stamped them prior with the flower form Blooming with Kindness and sprayed with some glitter spray after they had dried. I print the date from my computer.

Flower Flip Card

Yes, another flip card! They are so fun to do and easy too.  The hard part is getting a good picture.  The doily does line up and is equal on each side.  I guess the angle makes it look differently.  This card contains a lot of my favorite elements.  1.) I love making ruffled flowers, 2.)This is my favorite piece of DSP, 3.) Addicted to Flip Card Die, 4.) I could add butterflies to any card, 5.)Pearls should be added to all cards Lol, 5.) Doilies can be made into any color but I love making them vintage.

Here 4 U

I ran across this paper the other day while making another card and I loved the design and found out how much I liked Baked Brown Sugar with Summer Starfruit. I knew I wanted to use the Pansy as the pop up element in this sketch which forced me to make the sentiment as the cluster.  I am so glad that I did!  I did not follow the sketch exactly as I wanted a landscape card, so I made it work.  I have learned that when I want to use the clay for a flower center I do not want it thick, so I just fill the mold just deep enough to get the design.

Brown Sugar Best Wishes

I have always wanted to do the ink on the embossing folder and just have never gotten around to it...until today.  Since it was my first time, I was pretty messy but I have learned and will be doing it again.  I decided to just use a strip.  I added the embossed edges to the sides.

Blossom Blessings

A fun, simple card.  I wanted to play with some of the new and return colors.  I think the Cajun and Cantaloupe go very well together with just a dash of Curry.  I did a bit of a different fold on this on.   The card is cut 5.5" x 4" folded and is layered on a single 5.5 x 4.25" backing.  The paper piercing added  just that little extra touch I was looking for.

Edged Butterfly

I wanted a very cheery look and when I saw this layout on another card it reminded me of a rainbow.  I have had a lot of request for "Prayer" cards so I will be working on them off and on for a while.  This is the first time (that I remember) that I have layered the 2 butterfly punches....it is not my last ;-)

Strawberry Flowers

Love, Love, Love this color!!!  I am very pleased with the ruffled ribbon.  It is not too big or thick and easy to use. I bought the clear mount Flower Shop set so here is what I did to make sure I stamp the flower to line up with the punch.  I stamped the flower on a piece of scratch paper and  then lined the punch up.  The punch has a gap at the top.  I took a sharpie marker and put a line on the bottom of the stamp where the gap is.  That way when I stamp the flower I just make sure that the gap with the line is on the top.

Calypso Floral

I just recently bought this set and have been wanting to do the resist technique with it since I saw it.  I embossed the image with clear embossing powder.  Then I dabbed the colors I wanted where.  I wanted it a bit darker in the center so I used the marker to color that area in.  The ribbon is one of the free items in the SAB catalog.  You only have until March 22nd so make sure you order now to get all of the free SAB items that you want!!

Thanks from the Heart

I loved the layout the was used on a card that I saw on line.  There was no watermark on the card so I  do not know whom to give credit to. To get the sentiment to fit into the frame the way I wanted to I had to color it with the Early Espresso marker and leave off a bit on the bottom of the Y.   Another super easy fast card!
